Farah Amer, former president of Smouha Club, warned of the danger of the continuing tax crisis on Egyptian clubs.
He warned that no club would be able to withstand the big tax problem more than three years from now.
Faraj Amer wrote through his personal account on the social networking site Facebook, saying:
Taxes are a difficult problem in Egyptian sports, all Egyptian clubs have large tax arrears and social insurance, the reason is that the clubs treat commercial enterprises despite the fact that the sports law stipulates that they are non-profit organizations, taxes arrived in one of the Egyptian clubs for dues exceeding one billion pounds, as well as insurances Social security has reached huge numbers. The budgets of the Egyptian clubs cannot keep up with the different types of taxes in their dues, as well as the deduction and addition tax, the work-earning tax, and social insurance. A club will not stand in the face of that more than three years from now.
